ProMis will prevent any progress if either of these people is not eligible (for the selected function).
ProMis , using any rules relating to this rate, will then calculate the time period to be paid, again giving consistency and preventing the misapplication of rules and simple arithmetical errors.
ProMis can then inform management of the distinct categories in which the overtime is being used.
Implanted Organisational Rules
Overtime claims fall into two major categories, Payment and Time
Off in Lieu. One rate is applied to Time Off but many rates can be defined
for payment. Your organisation may have different rules to apply for all
these different rates. For example, there may be enhancements to apply for
overtime worked on Bank Holidays, or reductions of time to claim if the overtime
was not planned. People may forget to apply these rules or may interpret
them differently.
With ProMis the application of the rules will be automatic and consistent.
Rules can also be set to bar certain grades from claiming overtime, other grades
from entering overtime and all grades, except for a selected few individuals,
who are allowed to instruct the Payroll Department to make the payment.
