This very powerful screen facilitates a view of the roster for a chosen section and period. As absences are colour coded this screen is ideal for displaying, in hard copy, on screen or sending by e-mail to Sections, a week roster. It also provides an indication, by red bars, of vacant 'required posts' that need to be covered. By splitting the screen another, or indeed the same, section can also be displayed. Then by click 'n drag techniques cover can be allocated over a single or a series of days very quickly, including cover by overtime working.
From this one operation the posting sheets and individual duties records are updated. An overlay onto the screen will allow the vacancies over the whole area to be viewed. This is a very quick and easy method of organising cover. The printout to send to sections is comprehensive and can include people from that Section when they are working at another Section and also emphasise people coming in from other sections to provide cover.
